Rocky Timothy Rogers, 64 years old, went to be with the Lord Friday, September 3, 2021 at Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville, NC. He is survived by his wife Glenda Rogers of Bladenboro, sons Adam Rogers (Ashley) of Hope Mills, NC and Matthew Rogers (Erin) of Dublin, NC, grandchildren Aaron Rogers, Mallorie Rogers and Kenneth Rogers, his mother JoAnne Rogers, sister Pamela R. Jones, both of Bladenboro, brothers Randy Rogers (Rachel) of Winston Salem, NC, Rusty Rogers (Camilla) and Richie Rogers (Paula) of Bladenboro, NC.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth W. Rogers, paternal grandparents Orce O. and Eva Rogers of Wilmington, NC and maternal grandparents Sadler and Rena Singletary of Bladenboro.
Rocky loved spending time with his grandchildren. He participated in sports with them and took great pleasure in their camping trips together. He and Glenda adopted New Light Church as their own and soon started taking part in the church activities. They had found their church home. Rocky enjoyed working in his yard, and that was evident by the immaculate way it was kept.
Rocky was employed by Chemours (Dupont) for 26 years, the Conservation Agency in Elizabethtown for 2 years and Southern Peanut Company in Dublin, NC for 16 years. He was a graduate of Bladenboro High School Class of 1976 and earned an associate degree in Agriculture from NC State University.
A private Memorial service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Glenda Rogers, 1014 Richardson Rd, Bladenboro, NC 28320 to be given to the staff of Cape Fear Valley ICU unit for physicians and nurses.
