Rosa Dove

Rosa Lee Packer Dove, 70, of Bladenboro entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 5, 2013, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center Hospice House. Mrs. Dove was born to Graham and Essie Packer on September 17, 1942.



Mrs. Dove was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Dove; her parents Graham and Essie Packer; and several brothers and sisters.



She is survived by one son, Mike Dove and wife Sandi of Bladenboro; three daughters, Ava Simmons and husband Larry of Bladenboro, Jackie Watson and husband Ruford of Bladenboro, and Melissa Dove of Bladenboro. She is survived by one brother, Lacey Packer of Florida and one sister, Helen Blackmon of Bladenboro. Grandchildren are Audrey Roberts and husband Brad of Dublin, Victoria Simmons of Bladenboro, Britton Simmons of Orlando, FL, Jason Pait and wife Kimmi of Shallotte, Carrie Pait and fiance' Erik Bron of Wilmington, Justin Dove and wife Brooke of Oak Island, Patrick Dove of Wilmington, Holden Dove of Myrtle Beach, SC, Corey Cox of Lumberton, and Jeremy Cox of Jacksonville, FL. Great grandchildren are Karlee Roberts of Dublin, Chloe Thompson of Bladenboro, and Gabe Cox of Lumberton.



The visitation will be held 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 7th, at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 8th, at Northside Baptist Church in Bladenboro with Rev. Scott Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Cemetery in Bladenboro. The family will receive visitors at the Dewey and Rose Dove Home Place (currently the residence of Ruford and Jackie Dove Watson) at 12608 Hwy 131 North, Bladenboro.
