Rosaland Monroe

Rosaland Lorraine Monroe, 53, of Clarkton passed away Monday, June 10, 2013. She is preceded in death by her father Laverne Rouse, two brothers Vern A. Rouse and Milton Sutton, and one daughter Crystal Monroe. She is survived by her mother Vivian Thorpe of Chatham, Virginia, her husband Edward L. Monroe of the home, two sons Edward Lee Monroe Jr. and wife Robin of Hope Mills, and Jonathan Lee Williams of Clarkton, two daughters: Nadina Michelle Monroe of Charlotte and Katrice Murchison of Elizabethtown, one goddaughter Kristal Robinson of Elizabethtown, four brothers: Allen Randolph of New Jersey, Nathaniel Ray Rouse and wife Pamela of California, Theodore D. Rouse and wife Juanita of Virginia, and Craig L. Rouse of Virginia, three sisters:Adrian Melvin of Virginia, Lavonya Rouse Collins of Georgia, and Olivia Rouse Keith and husband Rev. R. Keith of New Jersey, a special niece Casandra Murchison and 13 grandchildren.
Rosaland was a wonderful person. She loved her husband Edward of 34 years and all her children with all her heart. She especially loved spending time with her Aunt Geraldine Rouse. Rosaland will be greatly missed.
The family will have a Wake Service Friday, June 14, 2013 at 7:00 pm at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Clarkton School of Discovery. Burial will follow at Patterson Cemetery, at 1893 Jenkins Rd in Whiteville, NC.
