Rosalie Russ

Rosalie Edge Russ, 69, of Elizabethtown, entered into eternal rest April 9, 2018.

Rosalie taught at Elizabethtown Primary School for thirty years prior to retirement in 2000. She also enjoyed her work in retail at Moore's, Goldston's Gift Shop, and Leinwand's.

She enjoyed helping others. She was a member of the Gray Moss Chapter of American Business Women's Association, and the Gamma Xi Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma. Rosalie worked relentlessly with each organization in order to help provide countless college scholarships. Spending time with her friends, including the Bladen Belles, was also a favorite pastime.

Suggs Grove Missionary Baptist Church was her life-long church. Under the direction of her mother, she was a member of the youth quartet, The Four E's. During her many years of service, Rosalie worked in Vacation Bible School, sang in the choir, was an active WMU member, and remained the church pianist.

Rosalie was predeceased by her parents, Vermon and Margaret Edge, and husband, Larry Russ. She is survived by one son, Terry Baker II and wife, Lisa of Elizabethtown; two stepsons, Mark and Kevin Russ; one granddaughter, Destiny Baker; one brother, David Edge and wife, Geraldine of White Oak; two nieces, Noel Dennis and husband, John of Clarkton, and Melanie Collier and husband, Rodney of White Oak.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 12 at 1:00 PM in the fellowship hall of Suggs Grove Baptist Church. The funeral service will be in the church sanctuary at 2:30 PM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Walter Hayes will officiate the service.
