Ruth Ezzell

Ruth Shaw Ezzell, age 86 of Clarkton, died at home on Friday, August 1, 2014. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ruffin and Lucy Blackburn Shaw; husband, Leonard Ezzell; brother, George Shaw; two sisters, Irene Lewis and Rachel Russ; and a step-son, Dewey Ezzell. She is survived by a special friend, T.R. Clemmons; step-son, Robert Edwards and wife Francis of Clarkton; a special caretaker and niece, Michelle Tompkins; two sisters, Gertrude Russ of Bladenboro and Dixie Britt of Clarkton and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 4, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. Services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Salem Church officiated by Rev. Leroy Wright. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
