Sallie Hester

Sallie Brewer Hester, 67, of Bladenboro passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2016. She is preceded in death by her parents, Grady and Mandy Brewer and one brother Bobby Brewer. Survivors include son, Robert "Buddy" Hodge of Elizabethtown, two daughters: Shirley Ann Bailey of Elizabethtown and Wanda Gail Bryan of Dublin; three brothers: Bradley Brewer of Lumberton, Lloyd Brewer of Lumber Bridge, Grady "Buddy" Brewer of Wade; four sisters: Evelene McLamb of Fayetteville, Magdalene Davis of Wade, Mable Powell of Parkton and Marjorie Smith of White Lake; six grandchildren: Richard W. Bailey II (R.J.), Blake Lee Bailey, Devin Bryan, Noah Bryan, Morgan Hodge, and Weston Hodge, and two great grandchildren, Abby Bailey and Camden Lee Bailey.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday, April 15th at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 16th at 2pm at Dublin First Baptist Church in Dublin, NC with Rev. Cameron McGill and Rev. Bill Tatum officiating. Burial will follow the service in Allen Cemetery in Dublin, NC. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of Shirley Bailey, 999 Suggs Taylor Rd, Elizabethtown, NC.
