Samuel Lewis

Samuel Anthony Lewis, 29, of Elizabethtown was born on October 31, 1984 to Darnell and Bernice Lewis of Bladenboro. Samuel was a 2004 graduate of West Bladen High School and was employed by Smithfield Packing Company in Tar Heel, NC. He died tragically on Saturday, May 31, 2014 and is preceded in death by his grandparents, Fern Lewis, Jr. and Nancy Lewis; Elias Hester, Jr. and Mary Hester.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Michelle S. Lewis of the home; two daughters, Aubrey (5) and Natalie Lewis (1) of the home; his parents, Darnell Haskell Lewis, Sr. and Bernice Hester Lewis; two brothers, Ronald Hester and wife Regina of Hallsboro and Darnell Lewis, Jr. of Bladenboro; one half-brother Victor Lewis of Lumberton, one sister, Erica Lewis of Bladenboro, four aunts: Marva Lewis Currie of St. Pauls, Juanita Hester and Barbara Lewis, both of Bladenboro and Regina Rice of Wilmington, five uncles: Lonnie Currie of St. Pauls, Delton Lewis and Cecil Lewis both of Bladenboro, Len Rice of Wilmington, and David Hester of Lumberton and a host of loving nephews, nieces, cousins and other family members and friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2014 1:00 pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home with Rev. Cory Blanks officiating. Burial will follow at Bladen Memorial Gardens.
