Samuel Link

Samuel Allen Link (59) passed away on June 14th, 2019.  Formerly of Clarkton and Rowland, NC he most recently resided in Winnabow, NC.  He was predeceased by his father, Rev. William E. Link; and mother, Elizabeth Allen Link.

Sam had a unique personality combined with a room brightening smile and a contagious laugh. In his spare time he enjoyed tracing his family’s genealogy.  It brought him great happiness sharing what he found and educating his family about their history. Another form of pride in Sam’s life came from the fact that he was an Eagle Scout, the highest honor and rank in The Boy Scouts of America.

Sam is survived by his 3 brothers, Edwin Link and wife Laurie of Wilmington, NC; Charles Link and wife Ele of Wichita, KS; Steuart Link and wife Sheila of Lake Waccamaw, NC, 9 nieces and nephews, and 9 great nieces and nephews.

The family will have a private service and burial in Abbeville, SC. Memorials can be made to the charity of your choice.
