Mrs. Sara Gooden Hammond, 65, of Marietta, Georgia entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 29, 2008.



Funeral services will be held on October 31, 2008 at 11:00 am at MayesWard-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta, Georgia. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2008 at 3:00 pm at McMillian Cemetery.



Mrs. Hammond is survived by her husband, Bill Hammond of Blairsville, Georgia; three daughters, Missy Plotts of Scottsdale, Arizona, Heather Laird of Marietta, Georgia, and Crystal Askins of Florence, South Carolina; three sons, Heath Hammond of Griffin, Georgia; Matt Hammond of Adairsville, Georgia; Mark Hammond of Woodstock, Georgia; two brothers, Dewitt Gooden of Florence, South Carolina and David Gooden of Elizabethtown, North Carolina; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
