Sarah Clark

Sarah (Addie) Robbins Clark of Virginia Beach, formerly of Lisbon, NC, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2016. She was 95 years old.

Addie grew up in Montgomery, Alabama and Lisbon, NC. She married Gethro Clark, also from Lisbon, in 1940 and spent time in Montgomery, Alabama and in Raleigh, NC before moving to Virginia to live with her son and his family in 2009. She enjoyed cooking Sunday dinner for family and spending time at the country house at the Robbins farm in Lisbon. Then when she moved to Virginia Beach she enjoyed talking to the neighbors and spending time with her great-granddaughter, Juliette and particularly enjoyed when family members came to visit.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Gethro, her sister, Reeta, and her five brothers, Arthur, Nike, Tup, Ed and Winfred.

She is survived by her three children: Annette, Ronnie, and Terry, her five grandkids: Michelle, Andrea, Ginger, Sarah and Jackson, seven great grandkids and three great-great grandkids.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 19, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Mt. Horeb Cemetery in Clarkton, NC.
