Shelbia Norris

Shelbia Jayne Hester Norris, age 72 of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Lake Point Assisted Living in Lake Waccamaw. She is preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Clara Taylor Hester; her husband, Tommy Norris; and a brother, Glenford Ray Hester.

She is survived by a son, Mitchell Norris and fiance Susan Pate of Elizabethtown; three daughters, Michelle Hurst and husband Wayne of Lake Waccamaw, Melinda Lennon and husband Rudy of Clarkton, and Marsha Norris and fiance David Wilson of White Lake; a brother, Lloyd Hester and wife Pinky of Elizabethtown; a special friend, Sally Bedsole; eight grandchildren, Hunter, Dustin, Ashley, Julian, Austin, Hali, Kramer and Summer; step-grandchildren, Josh and Matthew; and three great grandchildren, Wadeyn, Maelee, and Easton.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 9, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at Whites Creek Baptist Church on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. Kincy Barrow and Rev. Cameron McGill. Burial will follow at Bladen Memorial Gardens.
