Shelby Price

Shelby L. Baxley Johnson Price, 71, of Lumberton passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. She was born in Bladen County on November 22, 1939. She was preceded in death by her parents, Beulah McLaughlin Berchett and Clayton W. Baxley, her stepmom, Virginia K. Baxley; four brothers, Lyle C. Baxley, Jimmy Baxley of Chesapeake, VA., Earl Ray Baxley and Robert Earl Baxley and one sister, Jean Myers.



Shelby loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a very kind person and always thought of others. She was a God fearing Christian Woman



Shelby is survived by four children, Penny Johnson Donnelly of Bladenboro, Daniel Walton Johnson, Judy Hallman of Morganton, NC and adopted daughter, Brenda Martin; one brother, Billy Berchett; six sisters, Betty V. Newton and Sandra Tyndall of Lumberton, Rosalie White of Burgaw, Alice Singletary, Angela Midgette and Cynitha Carlyle all of Bladenboro; eight grandchildren, Nick White, Christopher White and Crystal White all of Bladenboro, Soleil Reed, Clayton Johnson, Michael Hallman, Cassie Hallman and Spencer Johnson all of Morganton; five great grandchildren, Destiny N. White, Austin White, Hunter R. White all of Bladenboro, Elijah Johnson, Ayden Reed, Gavin and Nicholas all of Morganton.



The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 3, 2011 from 2:00 until 3:00 pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 3:00 pm with Rev. Donnie Caryle officiating. Burial will follow at New Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton.
