Shelby Shaw

Shelby Jean Conner Shaw, 73 of Bladenboro passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2011. She is preceded in death by her husband J. Vernon Shaw; her son, Joseph Andrew Shaw and a grandson Bobby Wilkins Jr.



Mrs. Shaw was a wonderful Christian who raised three children; work hard, taught Sunday school for 21 years at Boardman Pentecostal Holiness Church. The greatest achievement that she accomplished was staying on her knees praying for her family.



The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00pm.



Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 15, 2011 at 2:00pm at So Journey Lighthouse Church in Bladenboro with Rev. James Hodge and Ellen Bullard officiating. Burial will follow in Bladen Memorial Gardens.



Mrs. Shaw is survived by her daughter, Gloria Jean Wilkins and husband Bobby of Bladenboro; her son Wayne Shaw and wife Patricia of Clarkton; two sisters, Kathleen Chapman of Ga.and Ruby Helms of Abbottsburg; eight grandchildren, Ricky Mintz, Mindy Gause, Adam Wilkins, Warren and Heather Shaw; Deidra S. Shipman; and Tyler and Taylor Shaw. Three great grandchildren, Aidan Shipman, Shelby Shaw, and Landon Gause.
