Shelton Strickland

Shelton Dewitt Strickland, 93, of Bladenboro, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Mary Strickland; daughter, Debbie Strickland; son, Gary Strickland; brother, James Strickland; four sisters, Mabel Smith, Lula Mae Webb, Estelle Yates, and Vada Gaskins.

Shelton was a unique person who loved life and was always positive about everything. He leaves behind one daughter, Connie Strickland of Ocean Isle; sister, Mildred Stephson and husband Lynwood of Fayetteville; two grandchildren: Nija Jacques and husband Rob of Raleigh, Cade Brummett of John’s Island, SC.

A graveside service will be held at 3:30pm on Wednesday, December 16th in the Lewis Cemetery in Bladenboro.

To the entire staff at Bladen East Health and Rehab and to Community Home Care and Hospice. Thank you for being a light in a dark and difficult time. Throughout the weeks of no visitation due to Covid-19 your kindness, care and communication meant so very much.
