Sonny Coleman

Sonny Coleman, 44, of Clarkton passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2021. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Coleman, maternal grandparents, Joe and Mary Starnes, his father Dalton Coleman, uncle JP Starnes and cousin Marc Butler. Sonny leaves behind his mother Sue Coleman of Clarkton.

Sonny was blessed to be a part of a large family and loved by aunts, uncles, cousins, and his special group of friends including the Riddle family, the Leonard family, the Scott Autry family, Kodey Singletary and a host of other special friends. He owned and operated Sonny’s Lawn Care & Soft Wash Solutions. He was a very loving and caring person that would go above and beyond to help others. He was known for his generous nature. Sonny loved working outdoors and fishing. He especially enjoyed cooking for his friends and family. Sonny loved people and was loved by people. He was always the life of the party. An integral part of the Clarkton community that will be deeply missed.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at the Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Salem Cemetery in Clarkton with Rev. Anthony Hardin officiating.
