Sophia Bordeaux

Sophia Taylor Bordeaux, age 79 of Bladenboro, died Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gaston and Ida Belle Taylor; husband, Rob Bordeaux; four brothers, Malvin, Larson, Douglas, and Lewis Taylor and one sister, Lorena Cormier.

She is survived by daughters, Melissa Bordeaux of the home, Patricia Brisson and husband Chappelle of Bladenboro, Robbie Mabe and husband Charlie of Bladenboro and Alice Faye 'Sissy" Allen and husband Willie of Elizabethtown; two sisters, Ettaree Hester of Bladenboro and Almeda Singletary of Stover, Missouri; many nieces and nephews and her beloved dogs Maggie and Bella.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church. Services will start at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Dr. Mac Roberts and Rev. Phillip McLean. Burial will follow at the Bordeaux Cemetery.
