Steve "Petey" Bordeaux

Steve “Petey” Yates Bordeaux, 60, of Bladenboro passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2019. He was preceded in death by his stepfather Herman McDaniel and grandmother Bernice Horne. Petey leaves behind his mother, Vivian McDaniel of Bladenboro; his loving wife of 21 years, Linda Bordeaux, of the home; one stepson, Stacey Grainger II of Durham; two stepdaughters: Brittany Caldwell of Tar Heel; Sherrie Grainger of Bladenboro; two brothers: Hughlon McDaniel of Bladenboro; Mark E. Bordeaux of Maury, NC; one sister, Hope McDaniel Bullard and husband Steve of Bladenboro; five step-grandchildren and one special niece, Hannah Blandford and husband Jonathan of Owensboro, KY.

Petey was a loving husband, brother and son. He had a funny, easy going personality and would help anyone in need. Petey was a painter by trade. On July 4th, He gave his heart to the Lord at Duke University Hospital. There were fireworks flying in the air and in that hospital room. Now he is enjoying the fireworks of heaven with his Savior.

The family will receive friends from 11 am to 12 pm on Friday, July 12, 2019 at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown followed by a 12 pm funeral service in the chapel. Burial will follow the services in the Center Road Baptist Church Cemetery in Bladenboro.
