Susan Hood

Susan McDonald Hood, 53, of Clarkton passed away Monday, February 20, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents: Henry and Sadie McDonald; infant sister: Reba Kay.

Susan is survived by husband: Johnny Hardin; son: Danny Faison Hood Jr. of Clarkton; three daughters: Maria Hood McSwain and husband Colin of White Lake, Kayla Hood Branch and husband J.R. of Lumberton, Danielle Hood Reinhart and husband Bob of Bladenboro; three brothers: Buster McDonald of Clarkton, Jeffrey McDonald and wife Bonnie, Michael McDonald and wife Teresa of Clarkton; five sisters: Diane McDonald of Clarkton, Brenda Lewis of Lumberton, Joan McDonald of Clarkton, Andrea Wilkerson of Clarkton, Janet Lowrimore of St. Pauls; five grandchildren: Ava McSwain, Caden Branch, Aubrey Branch, Cheyenne Reinhart, Briana Reinhart.

She loved her family and grandchildren, cooking, fishing, and collecting pretties were some of her past times.

The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30pm on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A graveside service will follow at 2pm in Salem Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Clarkton with Rev. Dewey Ball officiating.
