Sylvia Brady

Sylvia Courson Brady, 90, of Elizabethtown passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband Spencer Jones Brady, two sisters: Nannette Bell Dollar and Delcie Atherton. She is survived by one son Dean Brady and wife Beverly of Elizabethtown, one daughter Sandra B. Barnes and husband William R. of Roxboro, four grandchildren: Dax Brady, Loren Melvin, Lisa Sun, and Alan Barnes, three great grandchildren: Hadley Jane Melvin, Kennedy Sun, and Joshua Sun.
Sylvia had a green thumb and loved working in her flowers. She loved people and enjoyed watching them. She wanted everyone to be happy and she will be dearly missed.
The family will receive friends Thursday, April 4, 2013 from 6 to 7:30 PM at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, April 5, 2013 at Elizabethtown Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with Rev. Chris Carroll officiating. Burial will follow at Bladen Memorial Gardens.
