Sylvia Horton

Sylvia Nell Horton, 74, of Bladenboro Passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at her home.
She was born in Bladen County on August 7, 1941 to the late Horace Cade and Evelyn Juanita Bledsoe Hester.

Sylvia is survived by her husband, Rudy Horton of the home; one son, Stacy Dowless, Jr. and wife Sheralyn of Selma, one step-son, Harry Horton of Tampa, FL; one step-daughter, Kim Horton of Ohio; two brothers, Ronnie Hester and wife Becky of Bladenboro and Alexander Hester and wife India of Bladenboro; three grandchildren, Michael Dowless and wife Dana of Bladenboro, Issac Dowless of Selma and Joshua Dowless of Selma; two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 17, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home with Rev. Warren Hill and Rev. Robert Ohlmann officiating. Burial will follow at Community Baptist Church Cemetery in Bladenboro.
