Teed Cain Jr., 84, of Bladenboro went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 30, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents Teed Cain Sr. and Bertha Howell Cain, two sisters: Catherine Grey, Estelle Rich, and three brothers: Earl Cain, Curtis Cain and John Henry Cain. Teed leaves behind his loving wife of 63 years, Pauline Cain, of the home; two sons: Elbert Lee Cain (Deborah) of High Point; Benjamin Cain of North Battleford, Canada; two daughters: Darlene Batten of Bennettsville, SC; Mary Lou Cain (Carl Boan) of Thomasville; one sister: Marie Cain of Bladenboro; nine grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Teed was a dedicated, hardworking man who cherished his family, especially his grandchildren. When not working, he could always be found sitting on the porch just a swinging or walking in the yard enjoying his flowers. Teed loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Bethel Holiness Church. He always made sure the whole family was ready to go at least thirty minutes ahead of time. A giant of a man with a heart of gold that will certainly be missed.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A funeral service is planned for Friday, May 3rd at 2 pm at Bethel Holiness Church in Bladenboro with Rev. Aaron Leonard officiating.
