Thad Fields

Mr. Joe "Thad" Fields, 69, of Evergreen passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice & Life Care Center, \\"The Angel House\\" in Whiteville. Thad was the son of the late Taft and Lois Inman Fields. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Polly Fields Welchans and Claudette Fields Blackwell.

He was a farmer and retired from the Columbus County School System as a Special Education Teacher.



The family will receives friends on Friday, November 4, 2011, 6 until 8pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home.



Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 5, at 1:00pm from First Baptist Church in Bladenboro with Rev. Kevin Kinlaw and Rev. Bert Young officiating. Burial will follow in Boardman Baptist Church Cemetery.



Mr. Fields is survived by, his brother, Corbet Fields of Evergreen; two sisters, Amelia "Amy" Fields Leggett of Fairmont; and Betsy Fields Smith of Myrtle Beach.
