Thomas Mckeithan

Thomas James McKeithan age 75 of Clarkton passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents: James Ira McKeithan and Estelle Burney McKeithan. Thomas is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sandra Campbell McKeithan, of the home; one son: Chris McKeithan of Clarkton; one daughter: Elizabeth Groves and husband Don of Clarkton; three sisters: Sue Renshaw and husband Jim of Fayetteville; Shirley McDonald of New Bern; and Pauline Evans and husband Jim of Lumberton and three grandchildren: Erin, Rachel, and Colin Groves.

Thomas was a loving husband and wonderful father. His family and his dogs meant the world to him. He enjoyed hunting on his land with his son-in-law and his grandson. Thomas was the life of the party on any occasion, as he loved to tell jokes and keep everyone laughing. He loved this great country we live in and was very patriotic. Thomas continued to be courageous even through his illness. His courage, strength, compassion and sense of humor will forever be remembered in the hearts of all those that love him.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 19, 2018 at 1 pm at Lisbon Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Thompson and Rev. Mark Creech officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Lisbon Baptist Church or Lisbon Fire Department.
