Tommy Lee Burch, 81, of Clarkton passed away on Monday, June 29, 2020. He was born in Worthington, Indiana on September 22, 1938 to Glenn and Kathryn Kiser Burch. He was a United States Air Force Veteran and later retired from Veeder Root/Danaher in Elizabethtown where he worked for more than 38 years.
Tommy is survived by his wife of 24 years Phyllis C. Burch, son Ryan Lee Burch of the home; daughters Shelby Robinson (Allen) of Clarkton; Tina Burney (Jay) of Elizabethtown; step-daughter Aimee Carlen and daughter Hannah of Deland, Florida; his mother, Kathryn Burch and brother Larry Burch of Indiana; grandchildren: Jeramie Heustess, daughter, Morgan, Lonnie Heustess (Samantha) and son Xander and daughter, Kennedy; Leighanna Heustess (Fiancé Ryan) and sons, Joseph and Jensen; Rhett and Maegan Burney. Tommy also leaves behind his constant companion Jack, his dachshund who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Lee Burch and his brother, Terry G. Burch of Indiana.
Tommy was a kind, giving, quiet and gentle man who loved his family infinitely. You were always met with a smile and “What can I do for you today?” He loved Nascar (Dale Earnhart) and wore a different hat most days. Tommy enjoyed working with his hands and could figure out how to fix most anything. He leaves a legacy of love, kindness and laughter in the hearts of all that knew him. He will be greatly missed by all.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, July 3, 2020 at Clarkton Cemetery with Rev. Richard Priest officiating.
