Tony Russ

Tony Carlton Russ, 58, of Clarkton passed away on Monday, May 3, 2021 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Matthew Russ Jr. and Inez Davis Russ and one sister, Teresa Thomas. Tony leaves behind one sister, Shelia Atkins (Bruce) of Lisbon, three nephews, Bruce Atkins Jr., Brooks Atkins, and Johnathon Thomas, two nieces, Tera Thomas, and Wendy Martin, four great nieces Mattie Richardson, Mileigh Martin, Kaylie Atkins, Molly Patterson and one great nephew, Isaac Atkins.

Tony was a family man with a big heart. He was always catering to his nieces and nephews and lending a helping hand to those in need. He enjoyed his coffee, working on cars and riding around when he felt like it. His big heart and gentle nature will be missed.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A funeral service is planned for Friday, May 7th at 1:00 pm at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home with Rev. Lacey Norris officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Atkins Family Cemetery off of White Plains Church Rd in Clarkton. All attendees are asked to wear masks and practice social distancing.
