Troy Smith

Troy Marshall Smith, age 79, born January 20, 1933, the second son of Claude and Gladys Smith, entered into eternal rest September 14, 2012, at New Hanover Memorial Hospital.



He is survived by his wife, Jane W. Smith; son, Michael T. Smith of Bladenboro; three daughters: Donna F. Ward, Dianna K. Russell and Deborah S. Davis, all of Tar Heel; ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother and six sisters.



He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed.



The family will receive friends Monday, September 17, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. On Tuesday, September 18, the graveside service will begin at 11:00 am at Briar Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. The memorial service will follow beginning at 11:30 am with Rev. Carlton Bryan officiating.
