Troy Stewart

Troy D. Stewart, 78, of Elizabethtown, died Monday, November 06, 2006 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington.



Born June 17, 1928, in Sampson County, he was the son of the late L.O. and Rachel Stewart.



Mr. Stewart is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Pamela Mae Stewart; brothers, Delbert Stewart and Adolph Stewart; and sister, Helen White.



He is survived by his wife, Sarah Stewart; son, Reuben Stewart and wife, Tiffany of Elizabethtown; daughters, Brenda McMillan and husband Butch of Amory, Mississippi; Debra Dickens and husband Earl of Sneads, Florida; Anita Mercer and husband Terry of Dellwood, Florida; sisters, Ruby Shirley of Parkton, NC and Kay Tatum of Fayetteville, NC; 9 grandchildren, Tracy Hodge, Melissa Britt, Bradford McMillan, Pamela Hill, Sarah Harrison, Christy Ham, Terry Mercer, Jr., Bryan Cross, and Baylee Stewart; and 6 great grandchildren, Morgan Hodge, Weston Hodge, Alli Hill, Kaylee Grace Harrison, Emma Ham, and Bo Ham.



The visitation will be held from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at Bladen Funeral Home and at other times at the home. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 9, at White Oak Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Randy Locklear and Rev. Mackie Walters officiating. Burial will be in the White Oak Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery.
