Verna Bowman

Verna White Bowman, 85, of Elizabethtown passed away Friday, May 13, 2016.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Ethel White, husband of 56 years D.G. Bowman, sisters: Jean White, Christine Page, and Beulah Kinlaw and two brothers: Henry and JC White. Survivors include two daughters Cynthia Earle and husband Steven of Asheville and Beth Bowman of Raleigh; three brothers: Emery White, Morris White, both of Elizabethtown and Frank White of Raleigh; one sister Mable White of Ocean Isle; and one grandson Taylor Neill of Raleigh.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, May 15, 2016 from 3-5 pm at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 16, 2016 at 11:00 am at Trinity United Methodist Church in Elizabethtown officiated by Rev. Jay Winston. Family will have a private entombment at another time.
