Virginia Singletary

Mrs. Virginia Register Singletary, age 90, of Clarkton passed away on Friday, June 3, 2011.

She was born in Bladen County on October 17, 1920 to the late Alex and Berta Porter Register. She was predeceased by her parents, and her husband, James Snowden Singletary.



She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Anne Singletary of New York; one niece, Florence Suggs; five nephews, Jimmy Callihan, John Cox, Ben, Bob and Jerry Register.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Clarkton Presbyterian Church.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at Clarkton Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Steuart Link officiating. Burial will follow in Clarkton Cemetery.
