Wanda Freeman

Wanda “Yvonne” Benton Freeman, 67 of Lumberton passed away on July 23, 2019. She was preceded in death by her adoptive parents: Streety Benton and Mattie Beck Benton, her mother, Hazel Cain and one brother, Billy Benton. Yvonne leaves behind one daughter, Beverly Dowless of Lumberton; one brother, Charles Benton and wife Emma of Bladenboro; two grandchildren: Kely Prevatte of Durham; Tyler Prevatte and wife Ashley of Boardman and four great grandchildren: Zachary, Jordan, Addison and Greyson.

Yvonne loved her bible, her family and her precious fur baby, Toby. She enjoyed music and listening to sermons on the radio or TV.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 26th at 11:00 am in Bladen Memorial Gardens in Elizabethtown with Chaplain James Chavis officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the cemetery.
