William Thomas Brisson, Jr., 53, of Dublin passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024. William was born in Robeson County on November 9, 1971 to the late William “Tommy” Brisson and Emma Lee Brisson. He was also preceded in death by aunts: Mary Wilkins (Horace), Lilly Clark (Paul), Alma Britt (Hilton) and Pinky Hester; uncles: Lewis Brisson (Althea), Tim Brisson (Zona), Walter Beard (Thelma), and Robert Skinner.
Thomas leaves behind his sister, Pam Taylor and husband Greg; aunt, Betty Skinner and an uncle, Lloyd Hester; nephews: Justin Taylor (Sarah Ann), Derek Taylor (Mindy), Nicholas Taylor; great-nephews: Brisson, Miller, Anderson, Charlie, Billy; and cousins who were more like brothers: Ronald Williamson (Cathy) and Bobby Williamson (Vickie) and a host of other extended family and friends.
Thomas enjoyed going to the beach, doing word puzzles, eating ice cream, driving the golf cart, traveling and spending time with his family. He never met a stranger and loved everyone. William’s kind and compassionate spirit has left a lasting impression on those who knew him best.
The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Thursday, November 21st at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A funeral service will be held at 3pm on Friday, November 22nd at Dublin First Baptist Church with Reverend Jason Lee and Reverend Jonathan Taylor officiating the services. Burial will follow in the Allen Cemetery in Dublin.
