William Hester

William Edward Hester Jr., 71, veteran of Lumberton passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Gertie Hester, brother Ronnie Hester, and granddaughter Trinity. Survivors include his wife Linda Baker Hester of the home, children: William Edward Hester III and wife April of NC; Valissa Anne Hester Lowery and husband Adrian; Jeff Breuster and wife Angie of TN; Kathy Margerum and husband Stan of OH; and Jennifer Stewart of WV; sister Dale Jenkins of Richmond, VA; eight grandsons: Kohl, Ty, Logan, Parker, Dace, Brandon, Samuel and Timothy,eight granddaughters: McKinley, Jade, Zoey, Tristen, Ashley, Hannah, Larissa, and Brentley and a loving canine companion Snowball.

William was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved his family and had a great sense of humor. His greatest joy was making everyone laugh. He will be missed.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 31st at 1 pm at White Oak Freewill Baptist Church in Bladenboro with Rev. Bobby Carden officicating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the White Oak FWB Children's Church in honor of Bill.
