William Jack Little, Sr., 86, of Clarkton, died Friday, January 18, 2008 at home.
Mr. Little was born in Bladen County to the late Henry Frank and Ora Elizabeth Little. Following his World War II military service, he was a teacher, dairy farmer, coach, and a leader in his church and community.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Wanda White Little; his sister, Vena Hood; and his brothers, Brooks, James, Max, Ralph, and Steve Little.
He is survived by two daughters, Faye Singletary, and husband, Neill, of Clarkton, and Jane Hair, and husband, Wynn, of Wilmington; two sons, Jack Little, and wife, Lisa, of Wilmington, and David Little, and wife, Reba, of Clarkton; two brothers, Ben and Charles Little, both of Clarkton; six grandchildren, Laura Singletary, Kate Watts, Chip Singletary, Charlie Hair, Wendy Hair, and Brian Little; and eight great-grandchildren.
The visitation is planned for Monday, January 21, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Bladen Funeral Home.
The funeral will be Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Clarkton Presbyterian Church with Rev. Stuart Link officiating. Burial will follow the service in Clarkton Cemetery.
Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be Brian Little, Charlie Hair, Chip Singletary (who is currently deployed due to his active military status), Clinton White, Eric Campbell, Bill Little, Troy Little, and Paul Watts.
