William Scoggins

William "Al" Alfred Scoggins, 73, of Elizabethtown, passed away on December 01, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents: Walter and Ruby Scoggins and daughter: Mary Alice Scoggins. Al leaves behind his wife, Carolyn Daniel Scoggins; daughter: Martha and husband Scott Walters of Elizabethtown; two sisters: Carolyn S. Boyd (Cecil) of Pittsboro, Dianne S. Lawrence (Richard) of Chapel Hill; granddaughter: Mary Scott Walters; two nieces: Emily B. Evans and Gracelee Lawrence.

Al was a kind man who loved his family and friends. He was known for doing anonymous acts of kindness. His love for people, animals and his sense of humor are cherished memories.

The burial for Al Scoggins will be held on Tuesday, December 4th at 1:30pm in the Wesley's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. A funeral service will follow in the church at 2pm. The family will receive friends immediately after services in the church's multipurpose building.
