Wilma L. Wyatt, 70, of Dublin passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at her home. Mrs. Wyatt was born on September 1, 1949 to the late Leon and Lellon Norris Lewis. She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Arlene Greggory, Edna Johnson and Peggy Faircloth.
She is survived by her husband: Horace Wyatt of the home; two sons: Roby Wyatt and wife, Tonna of Tarheel, Michael Wyatt and wife, Tamara of Elizabethtown; one daughter: Kimberly Smith and husband Barry of Bladenboro; four brothers: Leon Lewis Jr. of Rocky Point, Alan Lewis and Wayne Lewis of Currie, Graham Lewis of SC; one sister: Cindy Horrell of Currie; four grandchildren: Chris Wyatt and wife Kimberly, Nicole Wyatt, Joshua Wyatt, Amelia Smith; three great-grandchildren: Kayden Jackson, Blake Wyatt and Skylar Wyatt.
Mrs. Wilma was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and mother-in-law. She loved her family dearly and always made sure they had what they needed. She enjoyed her time in the kitchen cooking and baking for her family and friends. She loved her church family and especially working in the Nursery on Sunday mornings with her babies. She had a green thumb when it came to working in her garden and flowers. A golden heart stopped beating but her legacy will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew her.
The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Monday, November 11th at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 12th at 2pm at Dublin First Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Lee, Rev. Warren Hill, Rev. Tommy Knight and Rev. Devon Varnum officiating service. Burial will follow service in the Bladen Memorial Gardens in Elizabethtown.
