Zeb Monroe, 79, of Bladenboro, entered into eternal rest Sunday, May 27, 2007 at Columbus Regional Medical Center in Whiteville, NC.
He was born in Anson County to Blake and Faye Monroe. Mr. Monroe was a truck driver.
Mr. Monroe was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Valeria Bridger Monroe; a son, Zeb Byron Monroe, and two brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by a daughter, Jettie Monroe Willoughby and husband, Jerry, of Evergreen; three brothers, Lewis Monroe of Columbia, SC, Bobby Monroe of Lancaster, SC, and Ben Monroe of Grantsville, GA; four sisters, Dot Goodwin of Fayetteville, NC, Ruth Britt of White Lake, NC, Faye Canady of Whiteville, NC, and Mary Helen Harris of Union, SC; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is planned for Monday, May 28, 2007 from 6:30 to 8:30 at the home of Jettie and Jerry Willoughby, 1006 Paul Willoughby Road Evergreen, NC 28438. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at Pine Crest Cemetery in Bladenboro, NC at 4:00 PM with Rev. Bert Young officiating.
